Personalised playing cards are an ideal way to keep your friends, family and homelife close by, especially when away on a long train journey, coach trip or even on holiday. They're so much fun to create and even better to play your favourite card games with. You could create a real-life "Happy Families" deck or re-live your hen/stag night or party. Why not take a pack in to work featuring all your colleagues - ideal for those sneaky lunchtime games of gin-rummy!
Some sites appear to offer a good price on personalised cards but insist on a minimum order of 20 packs or more and limit you to one or two colours! We produce one-off and low volume customised playing cards IN FULL COLOUR with no minimum order - just buy one pack if that's all you want!
You can customise every individual playing card, giving each one a different photograph. You can change the colour, style and font lettering for your pack, you can even choose between no index, regular index, or "jumbo index" which is popular with many poker players. If you're stuck for ideas, here are a few of our most popular "styles" of playing cards - don't forget to put in that little extra effort for a truly personal touch:
- Pets are always a popular subject: whether a shot of the family dog running around in the park or a photo of each individual fish in an aquarium, you're sure to have enough photos lying around to make up a full deck!
- Family members: why not build up your family tree? If you haven't got very far, you can always put one family member on each card; if you've a large family tree, you could have husband+wife and even include the children on each one!
- Work colleagues: guaranteed to raise a laugh at work - especially if you manage to take your photos unexpectedly or without them knowing!
- Hobbies: fond of fishing? birdwatching? Maybe you know someone who collects bottle tops? You can use anything that you (or someone else if you're buying as a gift) find interesting.
- Anne-Geddes-style babies: why not spend a day playing with your baby, dressing them up and creating some wonderful images? You don't even need to go mad with making lots of different costumes: a few amusing poses and a couple of hours using Photoshop or similar will create a lifelong souvenir for your child!
Just remember to keep your playing cards personal to yourself or whomever is going to receive them.
You can use images found all over the internet - a quick and easy way to build up a library of photos - but if you're making custom playing cards to give to someone as a gift, you can't beat using your own photos. You might decide, for the music lover in your house, to put their favourite album covers on a pack playing cards. These are easily found on the internet - but using a photo of their battered old 12-inch LP and maybe a few items of clothing from that era, now that's personal!
